Huesitos is one of Spain's most iconic chocolate snacks, originally created in 1975 by Chocolates Hueso in Ateca (Zaragoza, Spain). The snack consists of crunchy wafer layers coated in chocolate.
Over the decades, ownership shifted as Chocolates Hueso was acquired by Cadbury Schweppes in 1989, which later became part of Kraft Foods (subsequently Mondelēz International). In 2013, Mondelēz announced plans to close the Ateca manufacturing facility, prompting a major campaign that concluded with Chocolates Valor acquiring both the Huesitos and Tokke brands along with the Ateca factory.
Today, Huesitos remains proudly manufactured in Ateca, Spain, under the complete ownership of Chocolates Valor, an independent, family-owned Spanish confectionery company based in Villajoyosa, Alicante.
