Despite having an Italian-sounding name, the company was established by two Dutch brothers who began crafting leather goods from a small basement shed. Over decades, Enrico Benetti expanded from leather craft into a broad range of fashionable, practical backpacks, travel bags, and suitcases.

The brand is owned and managed by Enrico Benetti B.V., based in Oud-Beijerland, the Netherlands. Like most modern global bag and luggage manufacturers, production is outsourced primarily to certified manufacturing partners in Asia, mainly China, before being distributed throughout Europe, including Denmark.
