Vans Classic Slip-On / Skate Shoes (Waffle Sole)

This image features the underside of the iconic vulcanized rubber waffle outsole characteristic of Vans footwear. The circular embossed emblem set into the diamond grid pattern contains the Vans quality stamp/interlocking star hallmark traditionally found on authentic Vans waffle soles.

Vans was established in Anaheim, California in 1966 by Paul Van Doren, James Van Doren, and their partners under the name The Van Doren Rubber Company. Originally selling directly to the public from their small manufacturing shop, the brand rapidly gained widespread popularity within Southern California's burgeoning skateboarding, BMX, and surfing cultures throughout the 1970s.

Vans is owned and operated by VF Corporation, an American global apparel and footwear company headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
