Iliad is a prominent European telecommunications brand originally founded in France by entrepreneur Xavier Niel in 1990. Known for revolutionizing the French market through its Free brand, Iliad Group expanded its footprint to Italy in May 2018 under the subsidiary Iliad Italia S.p.A. The company introduced disruptive, low-cost pricing with transparent terms, significantly reshaping the Italian mobile network provider landscape.

While telecommunications services do not involve physical manufacturing in the traditional consumer goods sense, Iliad's connectivity services in Italy are provisioned, maintained, and operated primarily in Italy.
