Conservas Ortiz is one of Spain's most iconic and prestigious seafood cannery brands. Founded in 1891 by Bernardo Ortiz de Zárate in Ondarroa (Biscay, Basque Country), the family-run cannery has maintained artisanal fishing and preparation traditions for five generations.

The company specializes in traditional Cantabrian seafood delicacies, including Bonito del Norte (white tuna), anchovies, and sardines. Sardines ('Sardinas a la Antigua') are carefully hand-cleaned, fried in virgin olive oil, and individually packed by hand according to an authentic 19th-century recipe.

Conservas Ortiz remains completely owned and operated by Conservas Ortiz, S.A., headquarted in Ondarroa, Spain.
