Oakley Radar EV Path Sunglasses

Oakley is an iconic American performance eyewear and sports equipment brand founded in 1975 by James Jannard in Southern California. The brand initially gained fame through motorcycle grips before revolutionizing athletic sunglasses with specialized Plutonite lenses and proprietary O Matter frame materials, becoming a staple for professional athletes worldwide.

In 2007, Oakley was acquired by the Italian eyewear giant Luxottica Group for approximately $2.1 billion. Luxottica subsequently merged with French lens specialist Essilor in 2018 to form EssilorLuxottica, a French-Italian multinational conglomerate headquartered in Paris, France.

While Oakley maintains its research, design, and significant manufacturing operations at its global headquarters (often dubbed 'One Icon') in Foothill Ranch, California, components and select eyewear models under EssilorLuxottica are also produced in facilities in Italy and China.
