Reese's Lovers Assorted Chocolate Candy

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups were invented by H.B. Reese, a former dairy farmer and shipping foreman for Milton S. Hershey, in 1928. H.B. Reese started the H.B. Reese Candy Company in his basement in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and used Hershey’s Chocolate in his recipe. The product became so successful that the H.B. Reese Candy Company eventually merged with the Hershey Chocolate Corporation in 1963 for $23.5 million.

Today, the Reese's brand is one of the most popular candy brands in North America. The products shown in the image, tailored for the Canadian market (evidenced by the bilingual 'Lovers/Amoureux' packaging), are typically manufactured in Hershey's facilities in North America. For the Canadian market, major production occurs at the Hershey Canada plant in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, though some varieties may be imported from the primary American facilities in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The brand remains under the ultimate ownership of The Hershey Company, a global snacking leader headquartered in the United States.
