Lagunitas IPA India Pale Ale

Lagunitas IPA is a cornerstone of the American craft beer movement, originally founded in 1993 by Tony Magee in Lagunitas, California. The brand became famous for its bold, hop-forward flavors and iconic dog logo. While its roots are firmly planted in the California craft scene, the brand's success led to a global partnership and eventual full acquisition by the Dutch brewing giant Heineken N.V. by 2017.

Today, Lagunitas is a global brand. While much of the production for the US market remains in Petaluma, California, and Chicago, Illinois, the beer is also brewed in other countries to serve international markets. In Europe, for example, production often takes place at Heineken-owned facilities in countries like the Netherlands or the UK to ensure freshness and reduce the carbon footprint of shipping across the Atlantic. Despite this corporate growth, Lagunitas maintains its image as a rebel craft brewer under the Heineken umbrella.
