Jose Cuervo Especial Reposado Tequila

Jose Cuervo is the world's oldest and best-selling tequila brand. Its roots date back to 1758 when King Ferdinand VI of Spain granted José Antonio de Cuervo a land grant in Jalisco, Mexico, to cultivate agave. The brand officially launched in 1795 when his son received the first concession to produce and sell tequila.

Today, the brand is owned by Becle, S.A.B. de C.V., a publicly traded company headquartered in Mexico City. The company remains under the control of the Beckmann family, who are direct descendants of the founder. Jose Cuervo Especial Reposado is manufactured exclusively in Mexico, specifically in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, following strict denomination of origin regulations that require tequila to be produced in specific regions of Mexico using blue agave.
