Created by Giancarlo Zanatta, the boots were initially modeled after the gear worn by Neil Armstrong and the Apollo 11 crew.

While the brand originated in Italy, manufacturing today occurs in multiple locations. Historically, production was centered in Treviso, Italy, but in recent decades, much of the assembly has moved to specialized factories in countries like Romania, Bosnia, and Albania to maintain scale and technical precision.

The brand is owned by the Tecnica Group, a leading Italian sporting goods company. Tecnica Group remains an independent entity headquartered in Giavera del Montello, Italy, managing a portfolio of high-end outdoor and winter sports brands as they look toward future growth in the global luxury and performance footwear market.
