Caroli Salam de Vară

Caroli is one of the most prominent brands in the Romanian processed meat market, established in 1994. The 'Salam de Vară' (Summer Salami) is a traditional Romanian dry-cured or semi-dry sausage product, widely consumed across the country. Caroli has built a reputation for its 'Etichetă Cinstită' (Honest Label) initiative, which focuses on providing products without added MSG, gluten, or artificial flavors.

While originally a local Romanian enterprise founded by the El Solh family, the brand underwent significant corporate evolution. In 2010, the Caroli Foods Group merged with Campofrio Food Group. Eventually, in 2017, the global food giant Sigma Alimentos acquired full ownership of Caroli Foods Group, integrating it into its extensive international portfolio. Today, the product continues to be manufactured in Romania at the company's facility in Pitești, maintaining its local heritage while benefiting from the resources of a global parent company.
