Velkopopovický Kozel is a legendary Czech beer brand founded in 1874 in the village of Velké Popovice. The brand is iconic for its goat (Kozel) mascot and heritage. Its Černý (Dark) variety is particularly famous for its rich, malty flavor and traditional brewing methods.

Historically part of the Plzeňský Prazdroj brewery group, the brand was acquired by the Japanese conglomerate Asahi Group Holdings in 2017 as part of a deal following the mega-merger of AB InBev and SABMiller.
