Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) is a globally recognized luxury fashion house founded by the designer of the same name in 1970. The brand became an iconic symbol of women's liberation with the introduction of the jersey wrap dress in 1974, which remains its signature silhouette. Initially founded in the United States, the brand has maintained its headquarters in New York City's Meatpacking District for decades.

Historically, DVF was a family-owned enterprise. However, in December 2020, the brand entered a major partnership for its Greater China operations, and in early 2024, it was announced that the brand's global operations and intellectual property would be managed through a joint venture. Specifically, the brand is now largely under the ownership and management of the Glamazon and Invesco-backed entities, with significant oversight from the Galeries Lafayette group for certain regions and global strategy handled by the DVF Studio LLC in partnership with international investors.

Manufacturing for DVF products is decentralized. While the brand originated with high-end production in Italy and the United States, current manufacturing takes place in multiple countries including China, India, and Vietnam, as well as Italy for its luxury footwear and high-end accessories collections. This global supply chain allows the brand to maintain its presence in over 70 countries worldwide.
