Amaro Lucano is a classic Italian herbal liqueur that was created in 1894 by Pasquale Vena in Pisticci, Basilicata (historically known as Lucania). This beverage is produced using a secret blend of more than 30 herbs and spices, a recipe that has been passed down through the Vena family for generations.

To this day, the product is manufactured in its home region of Basilicata, Italy. Unlike many historic brands that have been acquired by multinational conglomerates, Amaro Lucano remains a proud family-owned business. It is currently managed by the fourth generation of the Vena family under the company Lucano 1894 S.r.l., maintaining deep roots in its original territory.
