Freia Melkesjokolade is a flagship milk chocolate brand from Norway, often referred to as 'a little piece of Norway' (Et lite stykke Norge). Founded in 1889 by Johan Throne Holst, the brand became a national icon.

Products are primarily manufactured at the historic Freia factory in Rodeløkka, Oslo, ensuring the traditional recipe remains consistent. In 1993, the brand was acquired by Kraft General Foods (now Mondelez International). Despite being owned by a global American conglomerate, Freia maintains its deep cultural identity and production roots in Norway.
