The brand holds a storied place in Alpine history, having produced some of the first wooden skis to win international competitions. While Rossignol started as a family-owned French artisan company, its ownership has transitioned through several major entities. Today, the Rossignol Group is owned by Altor Equity Partners, a private equity firm based in Sweden. Manufacturing is distributed across Europe, with flagship production facilities remaining in Sallanches, France, while significant volumes are produced in their specialized factory in Romania.
