The vessel itself was designed by Sami Ruotsalainen as part of the Oiva tableware collection, which is characterized by clean, functional lines inspired by both Nordic and Japanese aesthetics. The graphic pattern, created by artist Maija Louekari in 2009, evokes the textures and stories of urban community gardens.
