Marabou Drömkrisp chocolate bar

Marabou Drömkrisp is a premium milk chocolate bar produced by one of Sweden's most iconic confectionery brands. The brand's history dates back to 1916, when Johan Throne Holst founded the Swedish subsidiary of his successful Norwegian chocolate company, Freia. Due to shortages during World War I, production didn't officially begin until 1919 in Sundbyberg, Sweden. The brand quickly became a household name, known for its distinct "caramelized" milk chocolate flavor that was perfected in the 1950s.

Ownership of Marabou transitioned through several hands over the decades. In 1993, the company was acquired by Kraft Foods, which eventually spun off its snack food division into what is now Mondelēz International. To this day, Marabou remains under the Mondelēz umbrella. While the brand is deeply rooted in Swedish culture and operates its main production facility in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, its products are part of a global supply chain under one of the world's largest food conglomerates.
