Wochinger Bräu Urtrunk

Wochinger Bräu Urtrunk is a traditional, unfiltered Zwickl beer brewed in accordance with the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) of 1516. It is produced by Privatbrauerei Wochinger, a historic family-owned brewery located in Traunstein, Upper Bavaria. The beer is characterized by its naturally cloudy appearance and rich yeast-driven flavor profile, common to 'unfiltered' styles.

The Wochinger family has a brewing tradition in Traunstein dating back to 1587, making it one of the oldest private breweries in the region. Unlike many other historical brands that have been acquired by global beverage conglomerates, Wochinger Bräu remains an independent, family-managed business, currently led by the 14th and 15th generations of the Wochinger family. This independence allows them to maintain traditional brewing methods and focus on local distribution within the Chiemgau region.
