Kicking Horse Coffee is a premium Canadian coffee brand founded in Invermere, British Columbia. Known for its commitment to organic, Fairtrade, and shade-grown beans, it has become one of Canada's most recognizable roasted coffee exporters, with its 'Grizzly Claw' dark roast being a signature offering.

The brand was originally founded by Elana Rosenfeld and Leo Johnson in 1996, operating out of a garage before expanding into a global entity. In 2017, the Italian coffee giant Luigi Lavazza S.p.A. acquired an 80% majority stake in the company to bolster its presence in the North American organic coffee market.

While the beans are sourced internationally from Central and South America, Africa, and Southeast Asia to maintain Fairtrade standards, the roasting and primary production primarily take place in their facility in the Rocky Mountains of Canada to ensure the brand's distinct flavor profile and quality standards.
