Marabou Schweizer Nöt chocolate bar

Marabou is a Swedish chocolate brand founded in 1916 by the Norwegian chocolatier Johan Throne Holst. The brand was established as a Swedish counterpart to the Norwegian Freia brand. The product shown, Schweizer Nöt, is a classic milk chocolate bar with chopped hazelnuts, which has been a staple in the Nordic market for decades.

Historically, the brand was produced by the company Aktiebolaget Marabou. In 1993, the company was acquired by Kraft General Foods, which eventually became Kraft Foods and later split into Mondelēz International. Today, Marabou remains one of the most prominent brands under the Mondelēz umbrella in Northern Europe, with its main manufacturing facility located in Upplands Väsby, Sweden.
