Carado is a well-known German manufacturer of motorhomes and camper vans, recognized for balancing quality with accessibility. Carado's production is centered in a state-of-the-art facility called Capron, located in Neustadt, Saxony (Germany), where it produces a variety of alcove, semi-integrated, and integrated motorhomes.

Since its inception, Carado has been a member of the Erwin Hymer Group. This parent group is one of the largest and most influential entities in the European caravanning industry. In 2019, the Erwin Hymer Group was acquired by Thor Industries, an American company based in Elkhart, Indiana. This acquisition made Thor Industries the ultimate global leader in the RV industry, owning a vast portfolio of brands across both the European and American markets. Carado remains an essential part of Thor's European operations, maintaining its German engineering and manufacturing roots while benefiting from the global resources of its American parent company.
