Marcilla is one of Spain's most iconic coffee brands, with a heritage dating back to 1907 when Julián Marcilla opened his first roasting facility in Barcelona. For over a century, the brand has been synonymous with Spanish coffee culture, specializing in both ground coffee and soluble varieties like the one shown here.

Today, the brand is owned by JDE Peet's, a global leader in the coffee and tea industry. While Marcilla originated as a Spanish family business, its production now occurs in various European facilities operated by the parent company to serve the Mediterranean market. Despite its international ownership, Marcilla maintains its reputation as a 'Maestros Tostadores' (Master Roaster), continuing the tradition of roasting profiles specifically tailored to European tastes.
