Mateus The Original Rosé wine

Mateus Rosé is one of the world's most famous wine brands, easily recognized by its iconic flask-shaped bottle inspired by World War I soldier canteens. Created in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, it was designed to appeal to international palates with its light, slightly sparkling, and off-dry profile.

Today, the brand remains a flagship of Portuguese viticulture, produced primarily in the Vila Real region of northern Portugal. It is owned by Sogrape Vinhos, Portugal's largest wine company, which continues to be managed by the founding Guedes family, ensuring the preservation of its heritage while expanding its global presence to over 120 countries.
