Cuticura Original Antibacterial Hand Gel

Cuticura is a storied brand in Personal care with origins dating back to 1865. It was originally established by the Potter Drug and Chemical Company in Boston, USA, starting with its famous medicated soaps that were among the first of their kind sold commercially. Over the decades, the brand became a household name globally, particularly in the UK and former British colonies, expanding its range to include talcum powders, ointments, and eventually antibacterial hand gels in the 1990s.

Ownership of the brand has transitioned through several major corporate entities. In 2005, the Indian conglomerate Godrej Consumer Products acquired Keyline Brands, which held the Cuticura name in the UK. However, in 2018, Godrej sold its UK business to the private equity firm JZ International (JZI). Following this acquisition, the UK entity was rebranded as Karium Ltd. As of 2026, the brand is managed under the Royal Sanders group, a leading European personal care manufacturer that oversees the production and distribution of Cuticura products. Most of the hand gel products for the UK market continue to be manufactured within the United Kingdom to ensure high standards of quality and hygiene.
