Adventan (Methylprednisolone aceponate) cream

Adventan is a dermatological pharmaceutical product containing methylprednisolone aceponate, a potent corticosteroid used to treat various inflammatory skin conditions. The brand was originally developed by Schering AG, a historic German pharmaceutical company.

Following a series of corporate acquisitions, the brand transitioned from Schering AG to Bayer AG in 2006. In 2018, Bayer sold its global prescription dermatology business, including the Adventan brand, to LEO Pharma. Today, manufacturing for these topical products is primarily conducted in specialized pharmaceutical facilities in Italy, although distribution is global through LEO Pharma's network.
