Weltenburger Kloster is renowned as one of the oldest monastery breweries in the world, with a brewing tradition dating back to 1050 at the Weltenburg Abbey in Bavaria, Germany. The brand is famous for its high-quality Bavarian beers, particularly its dark lager and wheat beer varieties like the 'Helle Weiße' shown here.

While the brand is deeply rooted in the history of the Benedictine abbey, the brewing operations and brand management have been handled by the Bischofshof Brewery (Brauerei Bischofshof) in Regensburg since 1973. This strategic partnership allowed the monastery to maintain its traditions while modernizing distribution and manufacturing processes. To this day, the beer is produced in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516, ensuring consistent quality and regional authenticity.
