Bionade Elderberry soft drink

Bionade is a pioneering organic soft drink brand produced through a unique fermentation process involving water, malt, and natural flavors. It was invented in Ostheim vor der Rhön, Germany, in the 1990s by brewmaster Dieter Leipold.

The brand gained significant popularity in the early 2000s as a healthier, organic alternative to traditional sodas. While it began as a family-run operation under Peter Kowalsky, it was later acquired by the Radeberger Group in 2012.

In 2018, ownership shifted to the Hassia Group. The product continues to be manufactured in its original location in Ostheim, maintaining its regional roots and strict organic standards under the umbrella of one of Germany's leading beverage corporations.
