Freia Brownies Myk & Fudgy

Freia is one of Norway's most iconic brands, originally established in 1889 by Olaf Larsen in Oslo. Historically famous for its Norwegian milk chocolate, the brand has expanded its portfolio to include various baked goods such as these pre-packaged brownies. While the brand maintains a very strong Norwegian identity and maintains a historic factory at Rodeløkka in Oslo, the production of various snacks and baked items is often distributed across different European facilities managed by its parent company.

Today, Freia is owned by Mondelēz International, a global snack food powerhouse. The transition to international ownership began when Kraft Foods acquired Freia Marabou in 1993. Following the corporate spin-off of Kraft Foods' snack business, Freia became a part of Mondelēz. This allows the brand to benefit from a vast global distribution network while maintaining its heritage status as Norway's premier chocolate and sweets manufacturer.
