Oxfam Intermón Tierra Madre ground coffee

Tierra Madre is a flagship fair-trade coffee brand marketed by Oxfam Intermón. The coffee beans are sourced from small-scale farmer cooperatives in developing regions, primarily in Africa and Latin America (such as Ethiopia, Uganda, or Nicaragua).

The brand was established in Spain by the foundation Intermón (which joined the international Oxfam confederation in 1997) to promote ethical consumption and fair trade. While the raw materials are imported, the final roasting, grinding, and packaging are typically carried out in facilities within Spain to ensure quality control for the local market. The brand is strictly owned and managed by the NGO Oxfam Intermón as part of its social enterprise division.
