Originally established to supply pasteurized milk to the city of Mantua, it has evolved into a premier production hub for PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) cheeses, specifically Grana Padano. The product is manufactured entirely in Italy, following strict traditional methods that include sourcing milk from local pastures in the Mincio Park area, aging the cheese wheels in specialized warehouses, and processing them in modern packaging and grating centers.

As a cooperative, the brand is owned by its members—over one hundred local farmers who provide the high-quality milk essential for production. Over the decades, the organization, often referred to as the LSM Group, has expanded its reach significantly, exporting approximately 70% of its production to over 50 countries worldwide. The cooperative maintains its independence while acquiring other specialized Italian dairies like Cantarelli SpA and Caseificio San Silvestro to strengthen its market position.
