Philadelphia Light Garlic & Herbs Cream Cheese

Philadelphia is the world's best-known brand of cream cheese. Although its name refers to the city of Philadelphia, the brand was actually created in New York in 1872 by William Lawrence and was later branded 'Philadelphia' in 1880 as a marketing strategy, as the city was then renowned for its high-quality dairy produce.

Today, the brand's ownership is split due to historic corporate divestitures. In Europe and many other international markets, the brand is owned and manufactured by Mondelez International. Products sold in the Nordic region, including the garlic and herb light version shown, are typically produced in Mondelez's dairy facilities in Germany to supply the European market. In North America, the brand continues to be owned by Kraft Heinz.
