Freixenet Carta Nevada Medium Dry Cava

Freixenet Carta Nevada is a world-renowned Cava produced in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Spain. The brand's history dates back to 1861 when Francesc Sala Ferrés founded Casa Sala, which eventually became Freixenet under the leadership of Pedro Ferrer and Dolores Sala Vivé.

Today, the brand is a centerpiece of the global sparkling wine market. In 2018, the German sparkling wine giant Henkell (a subsidiary of the Oetker Group) acquired a 50.7% stake in the company, leading to the formation of Henkell Freixenet. This merger created one of the world's leading sparkling wine groups, combining Spanish Cava expertise with German sparkling wine traditions. Production remains centered in the Penedès region of Spain to maintain the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status of Cava.
