The Chemistry Brand is a specialized skincare label that focuses on anti-aging and corrective care for the hands and body. It was launched under the umbrella of DECIEM, 'The Abnormal Beauty Company', which was founded in Toronto, Canada, in 2013 by Brandon Truaxe. The brand gained a cult following for its high concentration of active ingredients and scientifically-driven approach to beauty.

Over the years, DECIEM expanded globally with brands like The Ordinary and NIOD. Following a series of strategic investments, The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) initially acquired a minority stake in 2017. By 2021, ELC became the majority owner, and in 2024, they completed the full acquisition of DECIEM. Hand Chemistry continues to be manufactured primarily in Canada, benefiting from Estée Lauder's global supply chain and distribution network.
