In 2006, Galbani was acquired by the French multinational dairy giant Groupe Lactalis. Today, while the manufacturing remains rooted in Italy to preserve the DOP status and authentic quality, the brand's ultimate ownership resides with the Besnier family melalui Groupe Lactalis, headquartered in Laval, France. The product is distributed globally, often through local Lactalis subsidiaries.
