Wiedenbauer Bonbon-Spezialitäten

Wiedenbauer is a traditional German confectionery brand with roots dating back to 1863 in the Bavarian Alpine region. While the company initially focused on agriculture and dairy, it pivoted to candy production in 1949, quickly becoming known for its 'Bonbon-Spezialitäten' (candy specialties). The brand is particularly famous for its cough drops, herbal sweets, and fruit candies, which are still produced using traditional recipes and high-quality ingredients.

Since January 2013, Wiedenbauer has been a part of the Liebhart Group (Liebhart Holding) based in Detmold. Despite this ownership change, production has remained at the original traditional site in Baiernrain, Dietramszell, in the Bavarian Oberland. This allows the brand to maintain its regional identity as 'The Candy Makers from the Bavarian Alpine Foothills' while benefiting from the distribution and development resources of the larger health-food-focused group.
