The Abba brand is one of Sweden's oldest and most iconic food brands, with roots dating back to 1838 when Christian Gerhard Ameln founded the company in Bergen, Norway, later moving operations to Sweden. While famously sharing a name with the legendary pop group, the brand was established long before. Today, the brand is part of Orkla Foods Sverige, a subsidiary of the Norwegian Orkla Group. Most Abba products, including their famous herring and these seafood sauces, are produced at their primary facility in Kungshamn, on the Swedish west coast.
