Havana Club Añejo Especial

Havana Club is a premier Cuban rum brand with a history rooted in the traditional spirit-making of the island. Originally established in 1934 by José Arechabala S.A. in Cárdenas, Cuba, the brand became a symbol of Cuban craftsmanship. Following the Cuban Revolution in 1959, the company was nationalized by the Cuban government.

In 1993, a landmark 50:50 joint venture was formed between the state-run Corporación Cuba Ron and the French beverage giant Pernod Ricard, creating Havana Club International S.A. This partnership has since expanded the brand's reach globally, establishing it as one of the world's most recognized rums. The product is manufactured exclusively in Cuba, primarily at the Santa Cruz del Norte and San José distilleries, using local sugarcane molasses and traditional aging methods overseen by Maestros del Ron Cubano.

Notably, the ownership of the Havana Club name remains the subject of a long-standing legal dispute with Bacardi, which sells a separate version of Havana Club rum in the United States. However, the Cuban-produced version shown here is distributed by Pernod Ricard in all other major global markets.
