Italia Zuccheri Nostrano raw sugar

Italia Zuccheri Nostrano is a unique raw beet sugar produced entirely within Italy. Unlike most raw sugars which are derived from sugarcane imported from tropical regions, Nostrano is extracted from sugar beets grown by Italian farmers. This product is a hallmark of the COPROB cooperative, which manages the only remaining 100% Italian sugar supply chain.

The production process is concentrated in the regions of Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, specifically at the sugar factories in Minerbio (Bologna) and Pontelongo (Padua). By keeping the processing facilities close to the beet fields—typically within a 90km radius—the brand maintains a short, sustainable supply chain that supports local agriculture and reduces environmental impact compared to imported cane sugar.
