Nestlé Quality Street chocolate assortment

Quality Street is a historic selection of individual tinned and boxed toffees, chocolates, and sweets first introduced in 1936. Originally created by Mackintosh's in Halifax, West Yorkshire, the brand was named after J. M. Barrie's play of the same name.

Today, the brand remains an iconic British confectionery staple. While it was originally produced by Mackintosh's, the company merged with Rowntree's in 1969 to form Rowntree Mackintosh, which was later acquired by the Swiss multinational Nestlé in 1988. Most Quality Street products are still manufactured at the Nestlé factory in Halifax, maintaining their strong regional heritage in Northern England.

Ownership of the brand currently resides with Nestlé S.A., one of the world's largest food and beverage conglomerates. The brand is distributed globally, particularly in Commonwealth countries, but remains a quintessential part of British culture, especially during the Christmas holiday season.
