In July 2024, the brand's production landscape shifted significantly when the Dutch-headquartered Refresco Group, a global leader in beverage bottling, reached an agreement to acquire Frías Nutrición. This acquisition integrates the production of Mercadona's plant-based range into a massive international network, while the brand 'Hacendado' itself remains under the ultimate ownership of Mercadona S.A. in Spain.
