Founded in 1939 by the Johansen family, the brand has built a legacy of quality and sustainability, evolving from a small local knitting shop into a Nordic market leader. While the brand's heart remains in Norway, its manufacturing is centered in Europe to ensure high standards and supply chain transparency. Aclima operates its own specialized production facility, Aclima Baltic AS, located in Valga, Estonia. In early 2022, Aclima entered a new chapter when the Swedish-based Open Air Group (OAG) acquired a majority stake in the company.
