Philips Kaffeemaschine

Philips is a globally recognized brand originating from the Netherlands, founded in Eindhoven in 1891 by Gerard and Frederik Philips. Originally known for manufacturing light bulbs, the company has since expanded into a vast array of consumer electronics, healthcare equipment, and domestic appliances, including popular coffee makers.

While Philips still retains its corporate headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the domestic appliances division—which includes the coffee maker and kitchen appliance lines—was sold to Hillhouse Capital in 2021, operating under the name Versuni. However, the Philips brand continues to be used under a long-term brand license agreement. Manufacturing of these appliances primarily takes place in facilities located in Asia, such as China, supplying markets worldwide including Germany.
