Rio d'oro is a private-label juice brand owned and distributed by the discount supermarket giant ALDI. Founded originally in Germany following the division of the Albrecht family grocery business into ALDI Nord and ALDI Süd, ALDI Nord operates supermarket networks across northern and western Europe, including Portugal through ALDI Portugal - Supermercados Lda.

Manufacturing and Sourcing

For the Iberian market (Portugal and Spain), ALDI's chilled, directly squeezed orange juices (100% espremido) marketed under the Rio d'oro label are primarily packaged and manufactured in Spain by specialized citrus beverage co-packers (such as J. García Carrión or AMC Juices), utilizing locally sourced Mediterranean citrus fruits.
