AEG 6000 Series Washing Machine

AEG (Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft) is a historic German brand founded in Berlin in 1887 by Emil Rathenau. Historically an industrial powerhouse and pioneer of consumer home appliances in Europe, the original conglomerate was dissolved during the late 20th century.

In 1994, Swedish multinational appliance manufacturer Electrolux acquired the household appliance division and rights to the AEG brand name for consumer appliances. Today, AEG major domestic appliances, including the popular AEG 6000 Series washing machines and dryers, are marketed as Electrolux's premium brand across Europe and Scandinavia. (Note that the AEG brand name is also licensed separately for power tools by Techtronic Industries, but consumer household appliances sold in Swedish retail are owned and produced entirely by Electrolux).

Manufacturing of AEG 6000 Series laundry appliances sold in Sweden primarily takes place within Electrolux's modern manufacturing facilities in Poland (such as the Oława and Siewierz production plants), as well as other manufacturing hubs across Europe.
