ProViva Fruit Drink

ProViva is a well-known Swedish brand of functional probiotic fruit drinks, formulated with oat-based probiotics (Lactobacillus plantarum 299v) designed to promote digestive health.

Originally launched in Sweden in 1994, ProViva was developed by the Swedish dairy co-operative Skånemejerier in collaboration with researchers at Lund University and Probi AB. The brand gained immense popularity in the Nordic region for offering probiotic benefits in a refreshing juice format rather than traditional dairy.

In 2010, the French food and beverage multinational Danone acquired a controlling stake in the ProViva brand from Skånemejerier, eventually becoming the 100% ultimate owner. The products continue to be manufactured locally in Sweden, primarily at the production facility in Lunnarp, Skåne.
