Drax Group plc is a British renewable energy company known primarily for operating the Drax Power Station near Selby in North Yorkshire, England. Originally commissioned by the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB) in the 1970s as a coal-fired power station, it was historically the largest coal power plant in the United Kingdom.

Over the past two decades, Drax has fundamentally transformed its operations, converting major units to run on sustainable biomass pellets instead of coal, making it one of Europe's single largest decarbonisation projects and a cornerstone of the UK's baseload renewable electricity supply.
