The brand Mionetto originated in 1887 in the heart of the Valdobbiadene Prosecco region in Italy, founded by Francesco Mionetto. It has since grown from a small craft winery into a global leader in the sparkling wine category.

In 2008, Mionetto was acquired by Henkell & Co., which later merged with the Spanish cava producer Freixenet to form the Henkell Freixenet group. This corporate entity is the world's largest sparkling wine producer. Despite the international ownership by a German-headquartered group, Mionetto maintains its deep Italian roots and continues to produce its beverages in Italy to preserve authentic quality and regional characteristics.
