K-Swiss was founded in 1966 in Los Angeles, California, by two Swiss brothers, Art and Ernie Brunner, who were tennis enthusiasts. They introduced the first all-leather tennis shoe, which became an icon on and off the court. The brand has a rich history rooted in performance tennis and American heritage style.
Today, K-Swiss is a global brand with a manufacturing network spanning multiple countries, primarily in Asia, including China and Vietnam, to support its worldwide distribution. The ownership of the brand has transitioned over the years. Following its acquisition by the South Korean firm E-Land World in 2013, the brand was later sold in 2019 to Xtep International Holdings Limited. Xtep, a leading multi-brand sportswear company based in Hong Kong, currently manages K-Swiss as part of its global portfolio to expand its presence in the premium athletic footwear market.
