innocent was founded in London in 1999 by three friends who started selling smoothies at a music festival. The brand quickly became a household name in the UK and across Europe, known for its quirky marketing and commitment to sustainability. Their products are made from natural ingredients and are never from concentrate.

Today, the brand is owned by The Coca-Cola Company, which acquired a majority stake in 2013. Despite the large corporate ownership, innocent maintains its own identity and B Corp certification. Production takes place in various locations across Europe to serve different markets efficiently, including their carbon-neutral factory in Rotterdam known as 'the blender'.
